HOW I BECAME A TROUBADOUR

   Hebrews 13:5:
"Be content with what you have
   because God has said,
      'Never will I leave you;
         never will I forsake you.'"

Oh lord, oh lord
Please what can I do
I've spoken with Jesus
He sent me to you

I went to your chapel
But no one was there
I confessed to the priest
But he didn't care

The steeple was locked
The church bells were tied
The janitor caught me
And threw me outside

I rapped on the windows
Where saints had been drawn
The glass was still stained
But their faces were gone

When I opened my bible
The pages were blank
My rosary melted
The communion was rank

I sat with your minions
Asked for advice
They said they could help me
Then doubled the price

I spoke with the boss
Asked for a raise
He called me a sinner
Rejected my praise

So a beggar I stand
Little faith left to spare
Offering song
In exchange for a prayer

I had to resubmit this, I couldn't update the one that was here for some reason. Wrote this at work last week, between calls. This image is real, not edited, taken at a church by my house. Please direct comments on the image to the submission on my photography account *the-great-weegee.

Sorry for a sudden abundance of religious jabs... at least it's an improvement from a bunch of poems about women, eh? Okay, so this is nothing special, but I kind of like it. Let me know what you think. Or if you care, really.
